Many team members started their career working for Spectra Precision, Trimble or Geodimeter in machine control systems or with their survey instruments groups .
 

Their experience includes the installation and use of 3D GPS and Robotics on major highway and airport projects across the country and around the world, including the Conway Bypass in South Carolina in the late 1990’s.
 

Spectra I.S., formerly factory-direct stores owned by Spectra Precision / Trimble, was sold in an employee buy-out in 2000. This team has been servicing the Carolina’s and Virginia for 20 years. Starting with construction laser sales and service 20 years ago, Spectra then moved into the first machine control systems used in construction and agriculture for water management. Later in the mid 1990’s Spectra introduced 3D technology and by early 2000, Spectra I.S. became one of Trimble’s largest dealerships world-wide.
 

Today Spectra I.S. plays a key role in product development. Serving on Trimble’s Beta team, our staff works directly with the product engineers in determining the features and functions required for new product releases and extensively test those developed prior to a products release.
