Conventional Grade Control Systems

Trimble® GCS500 Grade Control System

The Trimble® GCS500 Grade Control System is a cross-slope control system designed to be used on motor graders for fine grading work.

The system uses two Trimble AS400 Angle Sensors and one Trimble RS400 Rotational Sensor to calculate the cross-slope of the blade. The operator can select which side of the blade is controlled and switch sides on the return pass.

Providing a high degree of flexibility, the GCS500 Grade Control System has up to 100% slope capability, making it ideal for a variety of applications, including cutting road slopes, ditches and embankments.

Applications:

  • Road Maintenance
  • Road Construction
  • Sports Fields
  • Embankments
  • Road Ditches

Features and Benefits

  • Maintains cross-slope for consistent, efficient finish grade and reduced rework
  • Flexible for increased productivity
  • Reduced overages in base and sub-base materials for improved profitability
